The Phoenix Suns will add Mike Muscala to their coaching staff, sources told HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto.
The move was first reported by Michael Scotto and has been picked up by multiple outlets.

— Michael Scotto (@MikeAScotto) August 9, 2025Muscala, 34, finished an 11-year NBA playing career that included stops with Atlanta, Oklahoma City, Philadelphia, Washington, the Lakers, Boston and Detroit.
The former Bucknell standout has never held an NBA coaching job before, making this his first official entry into an NBA staff role.
The Suns hired Jordan Ott as head coach earlier this offseason, and Ott previously worked in Atlanta where he crossed paths with Muscala.
Phoenix’s front office has reshaped the bench this summer after a coaching change last spring.
