Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayThe San Antonio Spurs have added another player to their training camp roster, signing free agent forward/center Micah Potter earlier this week, according to RealGM’s log of official NBA transactions.
Although the team hasn’t revealed the details of the deal, it’s expected that Potter’s contract is non-guaranteed and includes Exhibit 9 language, which is common for training camp deals.
It might also include Exhibit 10 provisions, which can provide incentives for players who later join a team’s G League affiliate.
Potter, 27, has built a reputation as a big man who can stretch the floor with his outside shooting. Over the past three seasons, he has been on two-way contracts with the Utah Jazz.
However, because he now has four years of NBA experience, league rules make him ineligible for another two-way deal.
Last season, Potter appeared in a career-high 38 games for Utah. In 18.6 minutes per game, he averaged 4.3 points and 4.3 rebounds, shooting 42.2% from the field, 31.6% from three-point range, and 85% from the free throw line.
Potter isn’t the only recent addition. The Spurs have also signed free agent guard Adam Flagler to their training camp roster, a move first reported by Paul Garcia of The Spot Up Shot. RealGM notes that Flagler’s deal is an Exhibit 10 contract.
Flagler, a 6’3″ shooting guard, is best known for his college career at Baylor, where he helped the Bears win the 2021 NCAA championship.
He has spent the last two years with the Oklahoma City Thunder organization. In February 2024, OKC signed him to a two-way contract, which he kept through the entire 2024/25 season.
During that time, Flagler played in 37 games for the Thunder, averaging only 5.5 minutes per contest – unsurprising given the team’s deep backcourt rotation. His season was also interrupted by a broken bone in his right hand, which sidelined him for several weeks.
Under the terms of his Exhibit 10 deal, if Flagler is waived before the start of the 2025/26 season but spends at least 60 days in the G League with the Austin Spurs, he could earn a bonus of up to $85,300.
Exhibit 10 contracts can be converted into two-way contracts, though San Antonio doesn’t currently have an available two-way spot, according to the latest roster tracker.
With these two signings, the Spurs now have 19 players under contract – two short of the maximum allowed during the offseason.
