DVO’s latest enduro mountain bike suspension is now also available in ultra limited numbers with unique internals developed by motorcycling’s iconic WP Suspension. And at some surprisingly affordable discounted pricing – while supplies last. Originally co-developed as an OEM project for two Austrian bike & ebike brands, now anyone can get the special edition Onyx 38 SL fork, Jade X coil shock, or Topaz air shock in WP’s black, red & white colors. And of course, those coil shocks come with special edition White springs, like those that gave Dutch moto racer Wim Peters’ suspension company its iconic look and often misconstrued name.

The DVO collaboration project with now Austrian WP Suspension was originally intended to just be a limited OEM offering for Gas Gas eMTBs and Liteville MTBs & ebikes, also based nearby in Austria & Germany (respectively.)

But it seems like DVO probably made more of the WP-equipped suspension components than those two brands sold. So, now anyone else looking for a special suspension upgrade can get their hands on the DVO+WP kit… at discount prices!

What’s so special about WP Suspension Cone Valve internals?

All of these limited edition forks and shocks share one unique trait. Instead of DVO’s latest Prime tech which brought more usable damping adjustability with completely redesigned shim stacks last summer, these new WP Suspension get rid of shim stacks all together.

Instead, damping adjustments are controlled by WP’s Cone Valve technology, which “improves the turbulence-free oil flow through the damping piston by using a conical valve” to control oil flow through the damper’s oil ports, without any abrupt edges or turns in the oil flow path. The general thinking is that this type of damping valve allows for more supple travel becasue of the design’s “lower initial breakaway torque” requirement and improved responsiveness throughout the full stroke.

DVO + WP Limited Edition Options & Pricing

Just three DVO suspension components get the WP Cone Valve treatment. Other than their CV damper, share the rest of the same latest DVO construction & tech. Now, both quantities and fitment options are seriously limited editions. But, if it happens to be what you need for your bike, you could get some seriously trick mountain bike suspension for a killer deal.

DVO x WP Suspension limited OEM edition enduro MTB fork

The DVO Onyx 38 D1 SL x WP CV fork is 29er only, but available in 160mm or 170mm travel for $750, discounted from $1250.

DVO x WP Suspension limited OEM edition Jade X CV coil shock

The DVO Jade X x WP CV coil shock is on sale for $450, down from $750 (or normally $700 for the standard Jade X Prime with spring, which is also on sale.) It is only available in a 205x65mm trunnion build, but you can pick from 350/400/450# powerful White DVO lightweight steel springs. If you already have a DVO coil shock and just want to add a touch of WP Suspension bling to it, the coils alone for the same $100 price as the standard black DVO LS springs.

DVO x WP Suspension limited OEM edition Topaz CV air shock

Lastly, the DVO Topaz x WP CV is offered for $390, down from $650 (compared to $600 regular price for the Topaz Prime, also on sale). It is only available in a 205x60mm trunnion model.

All of the DVO + WP Suspension components are delivered in unbranded packaging since they were originally destined to be sold as original equipment on complete bikes. They also all ship from DVO HQ in California, so international buyers will have to pick up any extra customs duties and taxes themselves.
