PROTECT YOUR DNA WITH QUANTUM TECHNOLOGY
Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwaySanta Cruz is bringing the heat with a special edition of the new Bullit eMTB that’s draped with a top-tier component spec, a unique paint job, and, of course, the new Fox Podium inverted fork. Launched back in April of this year, the Bullit is the longer-travel sibling to the highly regarded Vala, and the Podium build cranks it up a notch with a sweet selection of parts that match the bike’s hard-hitting intentions, leaving little, if anything, to be desired.
Santa Cruz Bullit Podium Details
If you’re interested in learning about the finer points of the new Bullit, we covered it in detail already when it launched earlier this year. The special-edition Podium version is the same bike with 170 mm of travel and built with the higher-tier Carbon CC frame. Like the Santa Cruz Vala, the brand opted not to use its typical VPP suspension design in favor of a simpler four-bar layout. Turns out, it’s easier to package an e-bike motor with the four-bar design, and the reviews of its performance have generally been glowing.

That motor is Bosch’s latest Performance Line CX, which is regarded as one of the best on the market. With the motor power wars heating up, Bosch now gives riders the ability to boost the peak power of the CX motor from 600W up to 750W and max torque from 85 Nm up to 100 Nm with a free over-air update. This makes it among the most powerful mid-drive eMTB motors, should you feel the need for more power than the standard power figures.
Powering that motor is a 600 Wh Bosch PowerTube battery integrated in the downtube, and the Podium spec includes the 250 Wh PowerMore range extender to add juice for longer rides. Additionally, the Bullit Podium comes equipped with Bosch’s latest Kiox 400C color display, sleekly integrated into the top tube of the frame.
Bullit Podium Build

The standout component on the Bullit Podium is its namesake Fox Podium inverted fork. Like the Bullit eMTB, the Podium fork came out earlier this year and adds to Fox’s extensive catalog of suspension forks. Compared to the rest of the Fox lineup, the Podium is unique in its inverted design. Geared towards heavy-hitting terrain, the Podium is a burly, longer-travel, single-crown fork. On the Bullit, it has 170 mm of travel, and that’s paired with a Fox Float X2 Factory shock.
While it isn’t a component, the Bullit Podium also gets a special-edition paint job with a pink splatter on black. They even went so far as to get SRAM to make some color-matched Maven Silver brake calipers for a decidedly high-end and custom-looking touch. That brake setup includes 200 mm SRAM HS2 rotors front and rear, so you can slow down in a hurry when you’re smashing trail on this rig.

The rest of the build is quite fancy as well, starting with the SRAM XO AXS T-Type drivetrain. Santa Cruz even opted for the Rocker Paddle Pod Controller straight out of the box — which will make some riders quite happy. The mixed-wheel size Bullit rolls on e13 Sidekick hubs to help reduce the likelihood of pedal kickback. Those are laced to Reserve 30HD AL rims wrapped in Maxxis DHR II and High Roller III tires with the e-bike appropriate DoubleDown casing.
The cockpit consists of a Chris King Dropset 3 headset, a OneUp Enduro stem, and Santa Cruz 35 Carbon bars. At the back, a trusty OneUp V3 dropper keeps the comfy WTB Silverado saddle where you want it.
All this adds up to a claimed weight of 49.2 pounds / 22.3 kg (size not specified).
