Dereck Lively II still has not been cleared for training camp as he continues to recover from right foot surgery, sources told Tim MacMahon of ESPN.

Lively appeared in just seven games last season before undergoing season-ending foot surgery in December.

Lively's status for the regular season is still being determined.

The Mavs are not discouraged by Lively's progress as the center ramps up to getting cleared for basketball activity.

The 22-year-old has appeared in just 43 games over the last two seasons.
