Gregg Popovich has reportedly remarried, tying the knot with Mary Barth Budenholzer, the former wife of longtime San Antonio Spurs assistant Mike Budenholzer.

According to a marriage license obtained by TMZ, Popovich and Mary exchanged vows on September 16 in Texas.

The document was filed in Bexar County. The connection between Popovich and the Budenholzers goes back decades.

Mike worked alongside Popovich in San Antonio from 1996 until 2013, spending nearly 20 years as a Spurs assistant before leaving to become head coach of the Atlanta Hawks.

During their time together in San Antonio, Popovich and Budenholzer were part of a highly successful Spurs organization that won five NBA championships.

It is unclear when Popovich and Mary began their relationship.

Mary and Mike quietly divorced in 2016, while Popovich’s first wife, Erin Popovich, died in 2018 following a battle with an undisclosed serious illness.

Popovich and Mary had already been seen together publicly before their marriage, including attending Spurs games together last season.

Mike Budenholzer has also moved forward and is reportedly in another relationship.
