Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayThe Los Angeles Clippers have officially brought Patrick Baldwin Jr. and TyTy Washington Jr. onto their roster by signing both players to Exhibit 10 contracts, as confirmed by Keith Smith from Spotrac.
Washington, who was picked 29th overall in the 2022 NBA Draft, was selected immediately after Baldwin, who went 28th overall in the same draft’s first round.
Up until now, neither Baldwin nor Washington has managed to establish a steady presence or consistent performance at the NBA level. According to reports, both players will be vying for a coveted two-way contract spot during the team’s upcoming training camp.
Patrick Baldwin Jr., now 22 years old, was originally drafted by the Golden State Warriors and spent his rookie season with them. Following that, he was traded to the Washington Wizards during the 2023 offseason, where he spent about a season and a half.
The Wizards then moved him to the San Antonio Spurs in February. Standing at 6 feet 9 inches, Baldwin was eventually released by the Spurs but found an opportunity with the Clippers, signing a two-way contract in March.
However, in late July, he was waived to free up roster space for Jordan Miller. At that time, according to Law Murray from The Athletic, the Clippers showed interest in bringing Baldwin back on board under an Exhibit 10 contract.
TyTy Washington, aged 23, had a limited role during his rookie year with the Houston Rockets, appearing in just 31 games.
During the 2023 offseason, he experienced quite a bit of movement, being traded twice – from Houston to Atlanta and then from Atlanta to Oklahoma City – before being waived by the Thunder.
He spent his second NBA season on a two-way contract with the Milwaukee Bucks and followed that with another two-way deal in his third year with the Phoenix Suns.
Together, Baldwin and Washington each have three years of NBA experience under their belts and still have one year remaining of eligibility for a two-way contract.
Presently, the Clippers have their two-way contract slots filled by Jordan Miller, Kobe Sanders (a 2025 second-round draft pick), and Trentyn Flowers, a 20-year-old wing.
If either Baldwin or Washington is released before the start of the 2025/26 NBA season and chooses to play in the G League, they would qualify for a bonus payment of up to $85,300, provided they spend a minimum of 60 days playing with the San Diego Clippers’ G League affiliate.
As it stands, the Clippers have a total of 19 players signed to contracts, which includes 14 players on fully guaranteed standard NBA deals.
