Newly crowned UFC heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane has sent a message to the undefeated Josh Hokit.

The UFC has officially promoted Gane from interim to undisputed heavyweight champion after Tom Aspinall vacated the title. The French fighter will now defend his title against Hokit at UFC 334 on November 14 at Madison Square Garden. The card was announced this past weekend, during the UFC 331 live broadcast.

At UFC 334, UFC women’s bantamweight queen Kayla Harrison will finally return to defend her title against the legendary Amanda Nunes.

After the Hokit bout was announced, “Bon Gamin” reacted to it, posting on X:

Gane won the interim title at UFC Freedom 250 by knocking out Alex Pereira in Round 2. He was expected to run it back with Aspinall later this year in a title unification showdown. However, Aspinall has once more injured his right eye and will not be cleared to fight anytime soon. Therefore, the Brit decided to vacate.

Now “Bon Gamin” has been promoted from interim to undisputed, as mentioned earlier, and will defend his strap against the No. 6-ranked contender Hokit.

Dana White worried about Josh Hokit becoming UFC champion

Josh Hokit has already won 3 fights this year and will now fight for the undisputed heavyweight title after just four UFC fights.

During the UFC 331 post-fight presser, White once again made it clear he doesn’t like Hokit’s outspoken personality, microphone antics, and controversial comments. White also seemed nervous while imagining what might happen if Hokit becomes a UFC champ. He told the media:

“I got a lot of thoughts on that. Lots and lots… I’m not saying that I don’t like Josh Hokit. I literally don’t fu*king like anything Josh Hokit says. And that’s not gonna change unless he changes, which I don’t see happening. So, I’m gonna have to deal with that. That’s a me issue.”
