Look out, there might be a bikepacker delivering food orders deep into the backcountry soon, now that Apidura has added a couple of Expedition Front Rack Packs to the bag lineup. While Apidura made their name in durable rackless bags to haul gear far off the beaten track, on pretty much any kind of bike… bikepacking continues to evolve. And new tough, but light racks are now real viable gear-hauling solutions for a lot of riders.

So racked-up bikepackers asked, and Apidura delivered. All the same tech, durability, and smart design features you would expect from Apidura’s all-rounder Expedition bag line-up, but now built to strap on a front rack.

Apidura says that they see bikepacking coming full circle: “Minimalist, lightweight racks are now common, echoing the demand for lightweight and performance-orientated gear that spurred the move to bikepacking packs a decade ago.” And with that comes a need for new high-performance bikepacking packs.

The new Expedition Front Rack Packs are Apidura’s first rack-specific designs, offering either 20L or 30L of tough, waterproof roll-top storage designed to strap onto platform front racks. The packs is available in two sizes (20L or 30L) to fit most bikes with flat-topped front racks. The smaller bag is best for dropbars or narrow racks, while the bigger is best suited for wider rack platforms and either flat bars or ultra-wide alt bars.
