Al Horford, who joined the Golden State Warriors on a two-year, $12 million deal, is already looking to maximize his role alongside Steph Curry.
“He does such a good job terrifying everyone in the league every time he moves,” Horford said. “That’s something I’m going to really take advantage of,” as reported by Anthony Slater.
Horford, a 6-foot-9 veteran, brings a wealth of experience to the Warriors. Across an 18-year NBA career, he has averaged 12.9 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game, while shooting 50.9% from the field and 37.7% from three-point range.
The five-time All-Star has played for Atlanta, Boston, Philadelphia, and Oklahoma City, providing leadership and floor-spacing skills. In his most recent season with Boston, he appeared in 60 games, averaging 9 points and 6.2 rebounds.
Curry, the reigning face of the Warriors, consistently draws defensive attention, opening opportunities for teammates. Horford plans to exploit this by positioning himself effectively in pick-and-rolls and corner shooting situations.
