The Philadelphia 76ers have signed former Memphis Grizzlies guard Kennedy Chandler, HoopsHype reported Monday.

Chandler was selected with the 38th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft by the San Antonio Spurs and was immediately traded to Memphis.

He signed a four-year, $7.1 million rookie contract with the Grizzlies, setting a record for guaranteed money for an American-born second-round pick at the time.

Chandler appeared in 36 games during his rookie season, averaging 2.2 points and 1.6 assists in limited minutes with Memphis.

After being waived in April 2023, he joined the Brooklyn Nets briefly before moving to the Long Island Nets and later Raptors 905 in the G League.

During the 2024–25 G League season, Chandler averaged 10.8 points, 4.5 assists, and 2.3 rebounds in 34 games with Raptors 905.

The addition of Chandler provides the 76ers with depth at the guard position, complementing the team’s roster as they navigate multiple injuries.

Philadelphia will enter the 2025–26 season as a title contender, despite Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Kyle Lowry all beginning the year sidelined.
