Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayJustin Martinez of The Oklahoman notes that the Oklahoma City Thunder have the flexibility to be patient with their young prospect Thomas Sorber if he isn’t fully prepared by the start of training camp.
The 19-year-old big man underwent surgery in February to address a turf toe injury, which unfortunately sidelined him for the entire Summer League.
Despite missing those games, Sorber was still able to participate in individual workout sessions during team practices, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to recovery and improvement.
There has been no official update on Sorber’s current health status, and during a post-draft press conference, the rookie himself described his progress cautiously, saying he was “just taking it day-by-day.”
Given his youth and the nature of his injury, the Thunder appear ready to allow him the necessary time to fully heal and develop without rushing his return to competitive play.
