Incredibly efficient, Liqui Moly Beta Factory Racing have named their 450SMX roster for 2027 and 2028 before the conclusion of 2026's SMX World Championship. A week on from the confirmation that Benny Bloss will sit aboard his red steed for two more seasons, it has now been confirmed that Shane McElrath will join him.

McElrath, a little over a year removed from his maiden 450SX podium, will debut with the team at the first SMX post-season event in Columbus, Ohio and race through the end of 2028. McElrath will join Bloss and the Honda-bound Mitchell Oldenburg in the 450SMX LCQ.

"I'm so excited to finally get to announce our partnership with Beta Factory Racing. They have given me a great opportunity, and I am excited to work alongside such a longstanding brand for the next two years and beyond. We are both eager to perform well at the highest level, and we will stop at nothing less. Let's go racing!" – Shane McElrath

The 250SMX portion of Liqui Moly Beta Factory Racing is yet to be confirmed. Derek Kelley is reportedly set to fill one of those seats, whilst the second rider remains unknown.

Liqui Moly Beta Factory Racing will finish its maiden AMA Pro Motocross Championship this weekend. Bloss, a top-ten finisher twice this year, has a realistic shot at twelfth in the 450MX championship standings.
