Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayKevin Durant's business manager, Rich Kleiman, has been in "constant communication about a long-term contract extension" with the Houston Rockets, reports ESPN's Shams Charania on NBA Today.
"I'm told there is optimism about a deal getting done before the start of the regular season," said Charania.
Durant is eligible to sign for more than $120 million over two seasons. Durant is on a $55 million expiring contract currently with the Rockets following his trade from the Phoenix Suns.
The Rockets are believed to be waiting on a Durant extension until reaching a resolution with Tari Eason, who is eligible to sign a rookie scale extension.
Durant went on the record at media day to express an expectation of signing an extension with the Rockets.
"I do see myself signing a contract extension," Durant said. "I can't tell you exactly when that will happen, but I do see it happening."
