The Cavaliers are beginning the season without Darius Garland and Max Strus and could use Beasley to boost their rotation.
Before news of the federal investigation into Beasley, he was in talks with the Detroit Pistons on a three-year, $42 million contract. Last season with the Pistons, Beasley averaged 16.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists while shooting 41.6 percent on three-pointers.
