The New York Knicks continue to "show strong interest" in signing Ben Simmons in free agency. Simmons remains one of the more prominent unsigned free agents. Simmons finished last season with the LA Clippers after his buyout with the Brooklyn Nets.

Simmons is coming off the final season of his five-year, $170 million maximum contract extension signed with the Philadelphia 76ers in 2019. Simmons is now represented by Bernie Lee.

In 18 games with the Clippers, Simmons averaged 2.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 16.4 minutes.

The Phoenix Suns and Boston Celtics have also been connected with Simmons.
