Former UFC flyweight and bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo will now have to face an undefeated boxer.

Cejudo is set to make his boxing debut on September 26 at a Misfits event in Miami. He was originally set to face Deen The Great, but just under two weeks before the event, Cejudo has a new opponent.

Misfits announced on social media and in a press release that Cejudo will now face Most Valuable Promotions boxer Wanna Walton.

Walton boxes for Jake Paul’s promotion, but will now box Henry Cejudo in Misfits, which is KSI’s promotion, so it is a surprise opponent. It’s also a tough fight for the former UFC champ-champ, but he has extreme confidence ahead of his boxing debut.

Henry Cejudo issues statement on opponent change

“I knew all along that Dean The Bitch would back out, and so I am not surprised he has done,” Cejudo said in a press release. “But I have a new opponent now, who thinks he’s a fighter, but Wanna will be playing another robot by the time I’m done with him.”

Henry Cejudo went 16-6 as an MMA fighter and ended his UFC tenure on a four-fight losing skid. He last fought last December when he dropped a decision to Payton Talbott. Also on the losing skid, he lost Song Yadong, Merab Dvalishvili, and Aljamain Sterling for the belt. He’s the former flyweight and bantamweight champion with notable wins over Dominick Cruz, TJ Dillashaw, and Demetrious Johnson, among others.

Also on the Misfits boxing card is Tony Ferguson’s return against Kenzo Biyong.
