UFC commentator Joe Rogan has declared that Arman Tsarukyan needs to get the next lightweight title shot after UFC 331.

At UFC 331, Arman Tsarukyan made a real statement. He was able to knock Mauricio Ruffy out cold with a vicious elbow, and in doing so, it feels like he has all but guaranteed himself a shot at the UFC lightweight championship – unless they decide to give it to Ilia Topuria, the former champ.

Arman Tsarukyan is one of the most notable figures in the UFC these days, and while he hasn’t always been in the good books of Dana White due to some of his actions away from the cage, he is certainly talented enough to make a run at the gold at 155 pounds, and that much is obvious.

On the UFC 311 broadcast, Joe Rogan became the latest figure in MMA to call for Arman Tsarukyan to get the title fight.

“Get that man a title fight,” Rogan said on the UFC 331 broadcast. “There’s nothing else to say. That is, right there, the No. 1 contender in the world. No ifs, ands or buts about it. That guy just made a statement.”

“He knocked Ruffy into the shadow realm with two elbows,” Rogan said. “Just spectacular. I can’t remember the last time someone standing elbow KO’d someone.”

Arman has had to wait for a while before getting his crack at the belt, but it certainly seems like now is the time for him to see if he can finally reach the top of the mountain.
