The Dallas Mavericks are expected to sign Dwight Powell to a training camp deal, sources told Marc Stein and Jake Fischer of The Stein Line.

Powell, who joined the team in a minicamp last week, has been with the Mavs since 2014.

Powell averaged 3.3 points and 4.1 rebounds last season.

The Mavs currently have 15 standard NBA contracts after buying out Klay Thompson.
