Detroit native and basketball standout Steve Hall will be inducted into the American Basketball Hall of Fame.
Hall rose to fame at Cass Technical High School, where he was named Detroit High School Player of the Year in 1988 after averaging 30.7 points per game. He went on to play at the University of Washington and later became a team captain at Virginia Tech.
After a professional career overseas, Hall returned to Detroit, leading Charles C. Rogers Academy to three Class D state championships and coaching Detroit Northwestern to its first PSL title since 1978. He has also coached at Duquesne University and earned multiple Coach of the Year honors.
“Steve Hall embodies the spirit of this Hall of Fame,” said Hall of Fame founder LaMont ‘ShowBoat’ Robinson.
Hall joins a celebrated 2025 class including Vernon Maxwell, Ruthie Bolton, Alvin Robertson, William Bedford, Derrick Gervin, Lou Dunbar, and many others.
