PROTECT YOUR DNA WITH QUANTUM TECHNOLOGY
Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayPedal-maker Xpedo debuts a new cross-discipline Omni powermeter family that will give any bike accurate dual-sided measurement, as easy as threading on a new set of pedals. All five different Omni pedals share the same measurement tech, tucked into a small pod attached to each pedal spindle and adding just a few millimeters to your Q-factor. And they promise some impressive industry-leading measurement stats, like 3000W max power and +/-1% accuracy.
Xpedo Omni accurate power meter pedals for all bikes

Jumping into the highly competitive power meter game, Xpedo sticks with what they do best for their Omni offerings. These 5 new power meter pedals keep Xpedo’s well-established road & MTB pedal platforms intact, simply adding on a single universal power-measuring pod to each existing pedal’s spindle. The simple, slim solution means that Xpedo can easily offer dual-sided measurement with left/right balance for all bikes, and at a competitive price point.
What’s most surprising is that at the same time, they claim to deliver industry-leading accuracy in their first go.
One pod to measure them all

The secret to the entire Xpedo Omni power meter lineup comes from the slim line pod that is attached to each pedal’s spindle. The first thing that we noticed is that it houses a single replaceable but not rechargeable CR2032 button cell to power the pedals. Xpedo claims a battery life of 50 hours of ride time, which admittedly is not very long when you consider you will have to keep buying 2 new batteries every time you ride that long (it could last a few months for most cyclists, but as short as one race if you use power for some ultra-distance bikepacking competition, for example.) But at least this is the most common battery we encounter in on-bike sensors, and it’s easy to find almost anywhere.
Based on the electronics inside, Xpedo claims power measurement accuracy of +/-1%, a cadence measurement range from 30-190rpm, and max power measurement up to 3000W peak power.
Omni options for trail, XC, gravel & road bikes

The all-new Xpedo Omni power meters are available in three mountain bike options, all based on existing pedal platforms, and all designed for compatibility with standard 2-bolt Shimano SH51 SPD cleats, with adjustable release tension and 6° of float.
The M-Force 8 Omni power meter pedals weigh 321g for the pair, with their investment cast titanium body and super low 8.7mm stack height (61g more than the comparable M-Force 8).
The black CXR Omni pair weighs 352g with its slightly larger forged 6061 aluminum body and 9.8mm stack height (57g heavier than the best-selling CXR).
Designed for XC, Trail, and even Enduro riding, the medium platform Baldwin Omni still weighs just 416g and is also 9.8mm tall with its forged and then CNC-machined 6061 aluminum body (66g heavier than the standard Baldwin).

On the road side there are just two options:
The Thrust Omni (left, above) is Xpedo’s 3-bolt Look cleat compatible power meter road pedal – 0° or 6° float. They weigh 287g for the pair with a 9.2mm stack height and a reinforced nylon NEP injection molded body and stainless steel wear plate (64g heavier than the injected carbon Thrust 8).

The Sonik Omni (right, above) is Xpedo’s 3-bolt Shimano SPD-SL compatible power meter road pedal – 0° or 4° float. They weigh 288g for the pair with a 9.6mm stack height and an injection molded carbon fiber body with stainless steel wear plate (55g heavier than the standard Sonik).

Xpedo Omni power meter – Pricing, options & availability

All five versions of the Xpedo Omni powermeter pedals are technically available now, although the road pedals are currently sold out, awaiting restock. The top-tier XC & gravel M-Force 8 Omni pedals with a titanium body and chromoly steel spindle sell for $900 / 900€ for the pair. But all of the other 4 Omni models – the CXR, Baldwin, Thrust & Sonik – sell for the same $750 / 750€ per pair to outfit your trail, XC, gravel, or road bikes with accurate dual-sided power.
We asked Xpedo about cheaper, 1-sided power options, and they said that for the time being, they are only offering the power meter pedals in dual-sided pairs.
