Eurobike Awards 2025 Urbanisto modular bicycle cargo bike1

In spite of some hand-wringing about the future of Europe’s largest bicycle trade show, Eurobike 2025 was still chock-full of new and clever bicycle-related gear. There was the growing wave of 32″ wheels, tuned mass dampers for gravel, multiple prototypes from Giant, including what could be a new Anthem XC Prototype, and there was even a rule-bending aero road bike by Factor.

But, all that fun aside, let’s take a look at the brands and products that came away with the Annual Eurobike Awards. There were 37 winners, so we aren’t going to cover all of them. We will, however, tell you about the nine Eurobike Award in Gold winners, as well as the two winners of both the Green and Start-Up awards.

Let’s get to it.

2025 Eurobike Gold Award Winners

Ampler Bikes GmbH – Nova

Eurobike 2025 Award Gold nova(All Studio Photos / Eurobike)

An eBike that can be charged with your normal, everyday USB-C charging cord? Well, according to Ampler, the Nova eBike is the world’s first. Imagine having one charger that rules them all: your laptop, smartphone, and your e-bike.

The Eurobike Award Jury thinks this well-established and easy-to-use charger would really appeal to people outside the traditional cycling scene(s). The Jury also liked the clean and stylish design of the bike and loved the fact that it is manufactured in Europe.

What’s interesting about this award is that we learned at Eurobike that there will be a new Pedalec standard for the EU starting in August 2025 that will require all pedalecs sold in the EU to have a standard physical connector for the charging port. The details are still a bit cloudy, but it seems that this USB-C connector would then not be in compliance once the standard is in place.

Eovolt – Afternoon Pro

Eurobike 2025 Award Gold folding

The Afternoon Pro is a folding e-bike made by the French manufacturer Eovolt. This bike impressed the Eurobike Award Jury on three levels: First, they liked the distinct design, with its clear, organic shapes that blend the functions and e-drive smoothly and discreetly. Second, the Jurors praised the folding mechanisms. They stated that they are intuitive and easy to operate, and they provide clear haptic and acoustic feedback that inspires confidence. And third, the Jury noted the riding characteristics of the bike: the automatic gears, Gates carbon belt drive, and wide tires, helped it ride comfortably.

Fizik – One-to-One

Eurobike 2025 Award Gold fizik

The Eurobike Award Jury praised Fizik’s One-to-one saddle concept for its push towards mass production of individually customized products. These saddles are 3D-printed. They are based on a personal print profile. This print profile is intended to determine the ideal saddle shape for each person. The Jury liked that the process is comprehensive and dynamic. The saddles are being shipped to customers and, if necessary, optimally adjusted with the help of specifically trained stores.

Hepha – ErgoAdjust

Eurobike 2025 Award Gold bike app

This eBike manufacturer, Hepha, developed a system called ErgoAdjust that reconciles the digital with the physical realm and wins the Gold from the Eurobike Award Jury.

ErgoAdjust can equip all touchpoints with distinct scales on corresponding Hepha bikes. Then, based on rider data, the Hepha app can suggest ergonomic adjustments. These can be easily transferred to the bike even by non-experts thanks to these scales. The Jury was impressed by both the problem description and the solution: “Many people ride ergonomically incorrectly adjusted bikes – with serious consequences: Pain, frustration, avoidance. ErgoAdjust may put this to bed“.

Leatt – 5.0 Gravity

Eurobike 2025 Award Gold leatt

Despite its strong first impression, Leatt’s 5.0 Gravity full-face helmet surprised the Eurobike Award Jurors with its surprisingly low weight. Even with only a partial carbon shell, the helmet still comes in lighter than others with a full carbon shell. The Jury was particularly keen on the 5.0 Gravity’s unique design and the impeccable manufacturing quality.

They also took note of the helmet’s adaptability, thanks to the BOA system, and the awesome fit the adjustable cheek pads offered.

Puky – Next

Eurobike 2025 Award Gold puky

The German kids’ bike specialist, Puky, has won the hearts and minds of the Eurobike Award Jury with its new balance bike Next. They praised both the aesthetics and the modular design of the bike.

The Next allows parents to switch between 12″ and 14″ wheels with a rear axle flip chip, helping the Next to grow with the child. The Next balance bike fits children aged from two to five years old. It uses a patented stem construction that maintains child-friendly ergonomics with either wheel size. The bike’s ability to “grow with the child” is what the Jury loved the most about the Next. They stated that it was an “outstanding feature that guarantees a long lifespan: economically sensible and ecologically sustainable”.

Polisport – HRP Luggage Carrier

Eurobike 2025 Award Gold rack

Polisport Plásticos is a Portuguese plastics specialist. As you know, rear racks don’t usually attract a lot of attention, but Polisport really wowed the Jury with this rack. The HRP Luggage Carrier is an injection-molded rack comprised of composite material in Europe.

This results in a lightweight rack that Polisport describes as “corrosion-resistant, vibration-damping and strong”. It weighs less than one kilogram, and can still carry up to 50kg. These highlights make for a straightforward and versatile product that really impressed the Jury. Rack it up!

Supernova – Redstream

Eurobike 2025 Award Gold taillight

I love my Supernova dynamo front lights! And, apparently, the Eurtobike Award Jury was equally impressed by Supernova’s new Redstream line of lights. These are small, battery-powered taillights. Like most, if not all, of Supernova’s lights, the small but very bright, street-legal light is incorporated in a stylishly designed aluminum housing. Gone are the days when your rear saddlebag obstructs your rear light. With a good angle adjustment, it can be stably mounted on bikepacking saddle bags.

The Redstream line of lights also offers a brake light function and battery life-optimizing charge control, including frost protection. These lights are made in Germany and come with the manufacturer’s five-year warranty. Supernova also guarantees repairs for ten years. The Jury was also impressed and very pleased with Supernova’s presentation of the products, but if you ask us, the Supernova Starstream Mini interface (which also won an award, but not the Gold) is more impressive – more on that below.

vit: bikes GmbH – vit: bikes Akademie

Eurobike 2025 Award Gold school

The Vit: Bikes Academy presented itself to the Eurobike Award Jury as the “only alternative to traditional training” for bicycle mechanics. The Akademie course focuses on eBikes and is certified and funded by the German Federal Employment Agency. This means that it can also be attended alongside a job or as a lateral entry into the industry. This sounds like a good solution to address the problem of the industry. The Jury finds and highlights that the academy also stands out from the crowd with its range of offers. They offer over 650 online and video lessons, as well as extensive exercises and support for the trainees.

2025 Eurobike Green Award Winner

Vaude – Trail Control 20+ ZERO

Eurobike 2025 Award Gold green vaude

The Vaude TrailControl 20+ Zero is a backpack that boldly stands out as very different among the other backpacks. This is in thanks to its “consistently sustainable and resource-friendly production”. That’s right, it’s not just another backpack. According to Vaude, it’s the first textile product with a CO2 footprint of net zero. Pioneering with biogenic waste material and energy from certified biomethane, the TrailControl really impressed the Jury. It’s a backpack role model that boasts comprehensive and verifiable information on its ecological footprint. Despite the emphasis on sustainability, the primary purpose of a mountain bike backpack remains fulfilled.

2025 Eurobike Start-Up Award Winner

Urbanisto – Modular Bicycle/Cargo Bike

Eurobike 2025 Award Gold cargojpeg(Photos / Eurobike)

This is pretty neat! Urbanisto’s modular e-bike can actually be converted from an e-bike to an e-cargobike and vice versa… all tool-free. More importantly, it could make storing a cargo bike more practical for those with space constraints, and makes it so you don’t have to ride a long cargo bike when you don’t need it.

The conversion can take place with just a few simple steps. This really impressed the jury with its innovation, versatility, and the huge overall potential of the idea. It also sparked the Jury’s imagination to come up with many more modular ideas that the manufacturer could possibly implement. The Jury thinks the practical adaptability of a single product to a wide range of mobility and transportation needs is groundbreaking.

BikeRumor Favorites

In addition to the Gold, Green, and Startup award winners, there were a number of products that won a Eurobike Award that are worthy of attention. Many of which had hidden or clever features that required a second glance to really understand what made them unique. The following are some of our favorites, in no particular order.

Diamant Suvea

At first glance, the Diamant Suvea looks like a standard ebike with a typical front triangle. However, the bike can convert into a low-step frame by removing the accessory top tube completely. When in use, the top tube can be used to mount various accessories, including a range extender.

Evoc Mountain Bike Bag Pro

If you’ve ever traveled with a mountain bike, you are likely at least familiar with the Evoc bike bags. With the addition of integrated cockpits, removing the handlebar to pack the bike is getting more challenging, so the reshaped Bike Bag Pro eliminates removal from your packing list. Instead, just turn the bar 90º, and it fits in the bag thanks to the elongated corner.

Feedback Sports Pro Air Lift Repair Stand

We covered this one earlier, but it’s worth mentioning again. The stand is able to lift heavy bikes on its own with the help of a simple floor pump, and it requires a lot less pumping than you’d expect to raise the bike. We have yet to see it work with an extremely heavy ebike, but we’re looking forward to trying it out.

HNC Switzerland Velo Guard Invisible Handlebar Lock

Similar to some motorcycle locks, the HNC Velo Guard is a headtube-mounted locking mechanism that prevents the fork from turning, making it impossible to ride. The lock is controlled via Bluetooth and a smartphone app, and is an interesting take on bike security.

Orbea Muga 10

The oddly named Orbea Muga 10 is also a bit of an oddball with mountain bike performance paired with commuter practicality, but it was the unique handlebar setup that really got our attention. Integrated but adjustable, the bar features an integrated headlight and an SP Connect phone mount for a clean but functional cockpit.

Supernova Starstream Mini Interface

The Supernova Redstream seemed to get more attention, but the Startstream Mini Interface to us is more interesting with a receptacle built into the bar that can be plugged if lights are not included with the bike. The plug can then be removed to install a Starstream Mini headlight directly into the bar for a clean look, which is powered by an ebike battery. It can also be used for external headlights that can be connected with an adapter, and the USB-C port can be used to charge other devices as well.

Trelock & Cannondale Integrated RackLock

If you’re using your bike as a commuter, you’ll almost certainly need a lock. Locks are heavy and hard to transport, so why not integrate them directly into the rack? That’s what Cannondale has done with Trelock, and in the process, introduced what they claim is the longest U-Lock on the market to make it easier to lock up.
