A fan reportedly caused a commotion at the Indian team’s hotel while trying to get a photograph with the young lad after the third and final T20I in Delhi.

The incident happened on Thursday, September 17, after India completed a commanding 127-run victory over Afghanistan at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. As the Indian players returned to their hotel, a fan reportedly called out to Abhishek and attempted to move through the security arrangements to get closer to him. Hotel security intervened and pulled her back as the 26-year-old continued towards the team area.

A video of the incident has surfaced online, showing a female fan attempting to approach Abhishek as he entered the hotel. Security personnel quickly stepped in to prevent her from moving further.

Abhishek Sharma smashes 108 in 34 balls

The fan frenzy came after Abhishek produced a sensational batting display in the third T20I against Afghanistan.

After Afghanistan won the toss and opted to field, India posted 221/7 in 20 overs. Abhishek was the star of the innings, smashing 108 runs from just 34 deliveries. His explosive knock included nine fours and 11 sixes.

The opener reached his century in only 30 balls, setting a new record for the fastest T20I century by an Indian batter. His breathtaking assault helped India build a huge total before the bowlers completed the job.
