Nice headphones. Barcia has been staying in the New England area to get some riding in the week leading up to and after Southwick. Hmmm...who else has been testing back there?
For Pro Motocross, the Honda HRC Progressive team usually uses larger capacity titanium tanks produced by HRC Japan. For Southwick, however, they jump to an even larger capacity aftermarket carbon fiber tank. They need just a bit extra to be safe in the sands of the Wick.

Speaking of cooling, the Honda HRC squad donned their oil coolers for their CRF450RWEs over the weekend.
Which was routed into the engine via a modified oil filter cap.
The HRC 450 squad uses a different water pump spigot. Instead of a pressed-in unit, they use this bolted-in and welded version.

Red Bull KTM had to do a quick motor swap on Vialle's bike after the second practice, once they retrieved his bike from one of the valleys in the track.

Yes, some teams use fork warmers even in outdoors. In this case, Plessinger is on an air fork so bringing it up to temperature would allow for a more accurate reading on the air pressure of the fork in relation to what it is on track / mid-moto.
Michael Mosiman broke his neck last year, so this was a bit scary to witness.
How long until the airbag chest protectors become a paddock-wide item?
The JWR squad has been participating in select Pro Motocross races for a few years now. A team regularly in the MXGP paddock and regional championships, they're also Swedish...like a certain someone who manages the Honda HRC Progressive squad in the US. Lars Lindstrom is always up for a helping hand, and it made for a very interesting morning qualifying session.

The Red Bull KTM team and their sister Austrian teams are always jumping around shocks...from a factory unit, to a consumer available kit version, to even a production model at times.
Is there something under this new guard on Plessinger's Red Bull KTM 450SX-F? Or just shaped to keep dirt from getting between the cases and the brake pedal? We'll do some digging.
Wonder how much a batch of Plessinger/cowboy hat replicas would see for?
The 91 machine was new under the Phoenix Honda awning over the weekend.
TJ Albright was brought in as a fill-in with Romano, Towers, and Ferry out with injuries. Cullin Park is expected to be back in action come the Washougal round of the series.
How about the 184 under the awning? It's the team's XC1 racer from GNCC, Mike Witkowski. He's a bit of a sand guy and loves to give Southwick a shot.
Mike's machine was equipped with Steg Pegz and a P3 Carbon guard and screen protecting the airbox.
The Phoenix squad utilizes the HRC-inspired frame extenders on all their machines.
Witkowski wasn't the only GNCC racer to give Southwick a shot, as Josh Toth also raced in the 450 class aboard his KX450.
