The current Supercross champion of Cooper Webb, unfortunately, suffered a knee injury during the qualifying session at the Red Bud National. Cooper still went on to race with moto scores 15-8, which placed him ninth overall. Webb had consistently been near the top five all season long, but because of this injury, he will be missing the remaining rounds of the pro motocross series.

Webb is looking to return to riding in a month after minor damage to his knee that requires surgery.

Cooper Webb Said: “Bummed to share that I’ll be missing the upcoming rounds of pro motocross. As you can see in the second photo (on Webb’s Instagram), I caught my foot in a rut and pulled out of the second qualifier early at RedBud. I was in pain with my knee, but hopeful it was just a stinger, and finished the day. The good news is the damage isn’t too bad. I’ll go in for a quick procedure Monday and should be back on the bike in around a month.”

It will be unfortunate to lose Cooper Webb as we pass the halfway point of the series, but we look forward to hopefully seeing his return for the SMX finals. Currently, Cooper Webb leads the SMX points, but things may change as he misses the upcoming rounds. We are wishing him well in his recovery.
