Tottenham Hotspur have made an approach to sign AC Milan star Christian Pulisic, as an alternative to Liverpool's Cody Gakpo.
Spurs had been hoping to sign Gakpo to strengthen in the left-wing area, and it has been widely reported they agreed personal terms with the Dutchman, but he is now closing in on a move to the Etihad Stadium.
As such, Tottenham have been forced to move on to other options, and Pulisic has been identified as a target, off the back of three very impressive campaigns with AC Milan in the Serie A since leaving Chelsea.

A versatile forward, the USMNT star is capable of playing on both wings and through the middle, which is an added bonus, and he created nine big chances in the Serie A last season, which was the second-highest number in the AC Milan squad.
As such, the 27-year-old clearly has the ability to be a regular starter for Roberto De Zerbi's side, who have now opened talks regarding a potential late deal.
Tottenham make approach to sign Christian Pulisic
According to a report from TEAMtalk, Tottenham have now made a late approach to sign Pulisic, who rakes in £84,000-a-week at the San Siro.
Spurs are working hard to bring in a new forward, as evidenced by the fact they are also closing in on a deal to sign Everton star Iliman Ndiaye, with Richarlison set to be sent in the opposite direction.
Ndiaye has been a key player for the Toffees since joining ahead of the 2024-25 season, chipping in with 17 goals and four assists in 74 appearances.
Much like Richarlison, the Senegal international is also capable of playing on the left-wing or through the middle as a centre-forward, which means he could be a like-for-like replacement for the Brazilian, who is seemingly set for a return to Merseyside.
