PROTECT YOUR DNA WITH QUANTUM TECHNOLOGY
Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayCrust Bikes has launched a new aluminum bike fit for rough terrain. With clearance for a 29 x 2.6″ tire, a portage handle, and a kickstand mount, it’s a quirky model with a unique paint job. Read on below for more on the brand’s latest rider-inspired design…
The Crust Desert Brat is the brand’s latest model, based on Spencer Harding’s experience with their all-terrain tourer, the Scapebot (read our in-depth review). Made of 6061 aluminum, the bike features clearance for 29 x 2.6″ tires, a non-driveside kickstand, a portage handle, BOOST spacing, and internal dropper routing. Though the frame is sold with a steel fork, the headtube is tapered, allowing users to run a carbon fork. The Desert Brat is based on non-suspension-corrected geometry and—like other Crust models—is intended to maximize frame space for a custom bag.
With an IS mount at the front and a post-mount standard at the rear, the bike supports a maximum rotor size of 180mm. It also has a 73mm BSA-threaded bottom bracket standard, is UDH-compatible, and is designed around flat bars. Though the Brat has fewer mounts than the Scapebot, it offers ample cargo storage options: four braze-ons on the underside of the downtube, three bottle positions within the triangle, three-pack mounts on the fork blades, and plenty of rack mounts on the rear and fork.
