Back in February, we announced that tickets for the Portland hand-made bike extravaganza known simply as MADE went on sale. For those yet to buy a ticket, sometimes procrastination does pay off. Today, with the code MADERumor, you can land a 25% discount on any ticket to the show. That means a single-day ticket or a weekend pass, but limited to one ticket. Personally, if you can swing it, I would get the weekend pass; you won’t regret it.

What’s MADE All About?

Bikes, incusivity, community, and the power of like-mindedness are the backbone of MADE. This wonderful show (my favorite of the year) is the brainchild of industry vet, Billy “Souphorse” Sinkford.

The MADE Show reflects his undying love and passion for the indie frame maker, domestic production, and the small cottage industry and people that support them.

MADE is about all things bicycle and its culture. It’s about bike nerds, experts, and aficionados getting together to celebrate the bicycle in all of its simple splendor. The environment and vibe are electric and powerful.

This is the third year for the show, and we’ll be there again to cover all of the amazing work these artisans present. The venue is a place called Zidell Yards, and it’s a huge, old open-air barge manufacturing structure that has that magic “big stuff was hand-built in here” feeling. It’s the perfect venue to celebrate hand-made craftsmanship.

You guys should take advantage of the 25% discount and find a way to get there.

Mavic/Firefly

Mavic may not be the first name you think of when it comes to MADE, but they’ve been doing some killer collaborations with small builders at recent tradeshows, and MADE is no different. The Firefly singlespeed above looks like it will be a show-stopper.

Cadex

Cadex is on the same program with builder collaborations – can you figure out what this one is from the tease above?

Mosaic

Mosaic hasn’t said much, but from their teaser, it sounds like we’re about to learn about the RT Zero. Their RT-2 series is the more affordable version of the RT-1 series, so does that make the RT Zero series their highest-end offering? You can count on us to find out.
