Tacko Fall is excited about his opportunity to return to the NBA with the Philadelphia 76ers and reunite with former Boston Celtics teammate Jaylen Brown.

Fall signed an Exhibit 10 contract with Philadelphia ahead of training camp, giving the 7-foot-6 center an opportunity to compete for a roster spot after spending the 2025-26 season overseas with the Ningbo Rockets.

“It is an opportunity of a lifetime that I shall not waste,” Fall told Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson. “Really looking forward to playing alongside JB and doing whatever it takes to help the team.”

Fall and Brown were teammates in Boston from 2019 through 2021, and their relationship extends beyond their time together with the Celtics. Fall has consistently supported Brown throughout his NBA career.

During a 2022 interview with Scoop B Radio, Fall praised Brown’s ability while arguing that the forward did not always receive the recognition he deserved.

“Man, first of all, I think Jaylen is very disrespected,” Fall said at the time. “He doesn’t get the praise he deserves sometimes and he’s a great player.”

The reunion comes after Brown was traded from Boston to Philadelphia during the 2026 offseason. Brown is coming off the best statistical season of his career, averaging 28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.1 assists in 71 games while shooting 47.7% from the field.

Brown also finished sixth in 2025-26 NBA MVP voting and earned All-NBA Second Team honors, giving Philadelphia another established scorer alongside Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid.

Fall, meanwhile, is trying to turn his latest opportunity into an NBA roster spot. He averaged 11.0 points, 5.9 rebounds and 0.6 assists in 38 games for Ningbo last season, shooting 80.7% from the field in 16.9 minutes per game.

His professional experience also includes NBA stops with Boston and Cleveland, along with extensive international and G League experience. With the Cleveland Charge in 2021-22, Fall averaged 15.8 points and 10.9 rebounds in 31 games while shooting 75.5% from the field.

His size has remained his defining attribute. Fall measured 7-foot-7 in shoes with an 8-foot-2½ wingspan at the 2019 NBA Draft Combine, according to Bleacher Report, giving him rare physical dimensions for an NBA center.

Philadelphia signed Fall along with guard Jameer Nelson Jr. and forward Saint Thomas as part of its training camp additions. Nelson averaged 18.9 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists for the Stockton Kings last season, while Thomas posted 10.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists for the Delaware Blue Coats.
