Swiss forward Sven Andrighetto received the IIHF’s prestigious Player of the Year Award from IIHF President Luc Tardif in a special ceremony prior to the opening of the ZSC Lions new season. Andrighetto capped off a sensational season at home and internationally in 2024-25 by receiving 34.6% of the votes, easily beating out American goalie Jeremy Swayman, who had 18.6%.
