Who and what is this shoe for?

The Rebel v5 is New Balance’s lightweight, springy daily trainer. Designed to feel fun and versatile, it’s cushioned enough for easy runs but lively enough for tempo sessions too. A true all-rounder for women who want a soft yet responsive ride.

What’s new?

This update brings more cushioning and a more refined fit. The stack height has been boosted by around 5mm (35mm heel / 29mm forefoot), and the midsole now blends PEBA/EVA FuelCell foam for extra bounce. The upper has been redesigned with a lightweight mesh and gusseted tongue for a secure fit, plus more padding around the heel for comfort. Outsole rubber has also been added under the forefoot to help durability.

How does it fit?

I found it true to size for me in a UK 6. It has a performance-yet-forgiving fit, so it’s not roomy but not too tight. The upper hugs the midfoot securely but allows some give in the forefoot, making it suitable for a range of foot shapes (wide sizes are available).
