Steph Curry said that he wants to stay with the Golden State Warriors for the rest of his career, and that he's "pretty sure" it'll happen.

"There's no question I want to be here the rest of my career, and I'm pretty sure that's going to happen," Curry told Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area in an exclusive interview.

Curry became eligible to sign a new max contract extension worth two years and $136.7 million over the weekend.

Curry added that the contract extension will not become a distraction.

"The deal and the contract stuff will happen at the right time, and we're not letting it be a distraction from our preparation for the season," Curry said.

Curry also said that playing with runner's knee will be the "new norm" after appearing in just 43 games last season.

Curry added that he was excited for the upcoming season.

"The goal stays the same," said Curry. "Extension stuff, we'll figure that out at the right time. But I'm ready for Year 18."
