— Michael Scotto (@MikeAScotto) August 1, 2025The 6-foot-6 forward made 29 starts for San Antonio and carved out a consistent role as a floor spacer and wing defender.
Champagnie’s durability and improved efficiency made him a key contributor during a rebuilding season centered around Victor Wembanyama and new additions like De’Aaron Fox.
His three-point shooting saw steady improvement over his first three years in the league, rising from 36.5% in 2023-24 to 37.1% this past season.
Originally undrafted out of St. John’s in 2022, Champagnie spent brief time with the Philadelphia 76ers before joining the Spurs later that season.
He has now played in 173 NBA games, starting 91, and holds career averages of 8.6 points and 3.4 rebounds in just over 21 minutes per game.
