Jo Shimoda claimed victory in the first 250 moto of the AMA Pro Motocross at Red Bud. Tom Vialle led for much of the race but was eventually overtaken by Shimoda in the second half, and later also by Levi Kitchen. Michael Mosiman and Seth Hammaker completed the top five.

Mikkel Haarup rode a consistent race and crossed the finish line in eighth place.

Haiden Deegan had a poor start and crashed in the beginning, while charging through the pack and running in fifth, he crashed. He dropped back significantly and ultimately had to settle for 14th place.
