Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayStevenson pushed back against renewed criticism and said no legitimate offer was ever made for a lightweight title fight with Haney
Shakur Stevenson has again rejected claims that he turned down a fight with Devin Haney for the undisputed lightweight championship in 2023. Responding to criticism on social media, Stevenson said he never received a formal offer and accused critics of repeating a false story.
When? What offer did I get for undisputed? If somebody told u I got an offer for undisputed they lying .. Social media made up a story that they wanted and ran with it like always

The exchange came after a boxing account revived the long-running debate over the failed negotiations between Stevenson and Haney when both competed at lightweight. Haney’s side previously maintained that Stevenson was offered a 25% purse split for an undisputed title fight, while Stevenson’s team argued that no legitimate contract was ever presented.
The disagreement has remained one of boxing’s most disputed negotiating stories. Critics have continued to cite the episode as an example of Stevenson passing on a major opportunity, while Stevenson has repeatedly rejected that version of events.
The discussion resurfaced despite both fighters moving on to different divisions. Haney currently holds the WBO welterweight title, while Stevenson is the WBO junior welterweight champion after his victory over Teofimo earlier this year.
Stevenson followed up with another post expressing frustration at criticism directed toward him.
“So much cap on my name everyday this is sick, Just know I’m with the shits and all these names yall talking will have to deal with me, I just pray yall bet against me when I catch up to them!”
The renewed exchange has kept the Haney negotiation debate alive nearly three years after the fight failed to materialize.
