Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwaySergio Mora believes Anthony Joshua needs to make a statement when he returns to the ring against Kristian Prenga on July 25.
Joshua has not fought since his December victory over Jake Paul and is expected to move on to a long-awaited showdown with Tyson Fury if he takes care of business against Prenga. For that reason, Mora says there is no room for a cautious performance.
“Seek and destroy if you’re Anthony Joshua. You don’t want nothing to go wrong. You don’t want anything to ruin the big fight coming up with Tyson Fury and him, which will be the biggest fight in British history,” Mora said while discussing the matchup with Chris Mannix at DAZN Boxing.
“I want him to go out there and annihilate this man. I want him to do what Anthony Joshua did to Francis Ngannou. No games, straight knockout. Get your work in and get out.”
Mora repeatedly questioned the level of opposition on Prenga’s record and argued that the Albanian heavyweight should not be competitive with a former two-time heavyweight champion.
“You got to get him out of there quick if you’re Anthony Joshua and move on to the biggest fight in British boxing history.”
Mannix agreed that Joshua should be looking for an early finish, pointing out that Prenga’s record falls well short of the level Joshua has faced throughout his career.
Sergio went even further when discussing what would constitute a successful performance for Joshua.
“This guy should not get out of the second round with Anthony Joshua,” said Mora. “He should be dispatched within six minutes, and then AJ can have some momentum because I think the fight with Fury, it needs some momentum.”
According to Mora, anything less than a dominant victory could raise unnecessary questions ahead of a potential blockbuster clash with Fury later this year. His message to Joshua is simple: make quick work of Prenga and move on to the fight fans really want to see.
