Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayRichardson Hitchins doesn’t view Kelvin Davis as an opponent worth pursuing.
The IBF junior welterweight champion dismissed the idea of fighting Davis on social media Saturday, pointing to what he believes are poor recent performances and arguing that a fight between them would do little for his career.
Kelvin the people and my handlers wouldn’t approve of you , you got beat up by Albright and lost ya last fight It would be embarrassing for me to have your name on my box rec smh If i could i would tho I’m trying to stack some ms in my account and your free money 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 https://t.co/dJyKcrq6Gt

Hitchins continued by saying he is focused on bigger opportunities and referred to Davis as “free money.”
“If i could i would tho I’m trying to stack some ms in my account and your free money.”
The comments came after Kelvin Davis exchanged messages with fans online and referenced Hitchins during the discussion.
Davis, 29, is coming off a split decision win over Peter Dobson on May 16 at Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia. The result proved unpopular with many fans in attendance, who booed when the decision was announced. A number of observers felt Dobson had done enough to earn the victory.
Hitchins also referenced Davis’ February 2023 fight against Nahir Albright, a contest many fans believed Albright deserved to win despite losing a majority decision.
For Hitchins, the focus appears to be elsewhere. The unbeaten champion announced earlier Saturday that he will make his Zuffa Boxing debut against Ricardo Salas on July 26. While Salas is not viewed as one of the division’s marquee names, he enters the fight on the back of recent victories and is coming off a stronger run of form than Davis.
