Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayUltimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Heavyweight-turned-Light Heavyweight Junior Tafa returns to action against Tuco Tokkos at UFC Nashville this weekend (Sat., July 12, 2025) inside Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
Tafa began his professional mixed martial arts (MMA) career at 205 pounds but competed as an undersized Heavyweight for his past eight bouts, struggling to a 2-3 record inside the Octagon.
But with his back against the wall, “Juggernaut” is finally dropping back down to Light Heavyweight, and the 28-year-old is looking pretty shredded.
Tafa shared a picture of himself on social media.
Here is a comparison of his last UFC portrait in which he weighed 241 lbs.
Tafa (6-3) is coming off a knockout win over Sean Sharaf, who took the fight on less than a week's notice at UFC Vegas 98. Prior to that, Tafa got stopped in back-to-back fights against Valter Walker and Marcos Rogerio de Lima.
A move to Light Heavyweight could have revitalized his career a little earlier, but with two UFC wins at Heavyweight, his decision to avoid the weight cut was understandable.
With his immense power and kickboxing pedigree, Tafa’s return to 205 pounds could prove to be a game-changer.
