OG Anunoby is ready to move forward from one of the most memorable moments of the Knicks’ championship run as he turns his attention toward the 2026-27 season.

Anunoby played a major role in New York capturing its first NBA championship since 1973. His defining moment came in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, when his game-winning tip-in with 1.2 seconds remaining completed the Knicks’ comeback from a 29-point deficit.

The play continues to follow Anunoby, but the 29-year-old forward indicated he has already moved on.

“It comes up quite a bit so I see it quite a bit,” Anunoby said while visiting the United Kingdom.

Asked whether watching the play still produces the same emotions, Anunoby offered a simple response.

“No. I’m over it now.”

Despite his understated reaction, Anunoby reflected positively on the Knicks’ championship journey and the mentality that helped the team accomplish its goal.

“Honestly, before the start of the playoffs, our whole team just came together and we knew we had one goal. We took every game day by day, game by game,” he said.

“We went on a crazy run. I don’t know how many games we won in a row (13) but every game was focused on the next, trying to build and be better than we were the last game. Even in the Finals, it was just day by day, game by game.”

Anunoby averaged 16.7 points during the regular season while shooting 48.4% from the field and 38.6% from three.
