KTM Sarholz Racing Team has signed Nico Koch for the 2027 season. The German rider will focus primarily on the ADAC MX Masters, while also competing in the German Supercross Championship. His first race with the new team is already scheduled for November at the Supercross in Stuttgart.
Koch has already completed his first test sessions on the Sarholz KTM and is looking forward to the new partnership with confidence.
“I’m really looking forward to working with the KTM Sarholz Racing Team in the future. I’ve already had the opportunity to ride the Sarholz bike for a few days and have come away with a very positive first impression,” Koch said.
Team owner André Sarholz is equally enthusiastic about the arrival of his new rider. “We still see a huge amount of potential in Nico and are convinced that we can achieve some great things together.”
In addition to joining the KTM Sarholz Racing Team, Koch will also be partnering with Weber-Werke. As a result, the German rider will now be recognisable by his new red Werkeholics Shoei helmet.
“I’m extremely happy to become part of the Weber-Werke family and look forward to working with the entire team and all the other Werkeholics. From now on, I’ll also be easy to recognise on the track thanks to my new red Werkeholics Shoei helmet. I can’t wait to line up in Stuttgart alongside my new team in front of the German fans!”
With the addition of Koch, KTM Sarholz Racing Team is strengthening its programme for the 2027 season. The first joint testing sessions have already gone well, and the new partnership will make its competitive debut at the Supercross in Stuttgart.
