The Brooklyn Nets waived guard Hunter Cattoor and forward/center Grant Nelson. Both players are expected to join the Long Island Nets for the upcoming G League season.

Brooklyn needs to waive one more player to reach the maximum of 15 players on standard contracts. Because the Nets are trying to ensure that they hit the salary floor, they're comfortable taking on dead money towards the cap.

Brooklyn also has an open two-way spot.
