Amir Coffey will make the Milwaukee Bucks roster for the 2025–26 season, NBA insider Michael Scotto reported.
The 27-year-old guard averaged 9.7 points on 47% shooting from the field and 41% from three-point range in 72 games for the Los Angeles Clippers last season.
Coffey reunites with Bucks coach Doc Rivers, who also coached him during his rookie season in Los Angeles. His familiarity with Rivers’ system could help him integrate quickly into Milwaukee’s rotation.

— Michael Scotto (@MikeAScotto) October 18, 2025Throughout his six-year career, Coffey has appeared in 323 NBA games, averaging 6.7 points and 1.1 assists per contest. He has steadily improved his three-point shooting, hitting 38.4% from deep across his career.
During the 2025–26 preseason, Coffey showed scoring efficiency in limited minutes, including a 4-for-4 shooting performance against the Oklahoma City Thunder on October 15. He also contributed defensively with steals and rebounds across multiple preseason games.
Coffey’s perimeter shooting and experience provide the Bucks with bench scoring depth behind star guards. His ability to stretch the floor fits Milwaukee’s emphasis on spacing and ball movement.
