Nate Diaz believes Dillon Danis looked for a way out of his scheduled fight with Mike Perry, and he found it.

Danis was expected to collide with Perry in the main event of Duel Arena 1 back in late August. “El Jefe” suffered an injury and was replaced by Brandon Jenkins, who scored an upset win after Perry suffered a dislocation early in the fight.

Diaz and Danis traded verbal shots on social media amid the injury news. Danis even made things personal by saying that Diaz abandoned his brother Nick, and claimed the two have to be separated by security when they attend the same events.

Mike Bohn of MMAJunkie and other reporters caught up with Diaz during the launch event for Scott Coker’s new Ki MMA promotion. The Stockton legend accused Danis of cutting himself to avoid fighting Perry.

“That’s what killed it all? Why are you fighting that guy? He’s f*cking, not a fighter,” Diaz said. “He’s a f*cking p*ssy b*tch. People keep falling for this. I’m like, ‘Anybody who wants to fight him, beat his ass in a bathroom somewhere.’ You don’t have to fight that guy. He’s f*cking not an eligible opponent. It’s embarrassing that he’s even trying to fight people. He’s scared. He cut himself open just not to fight. That’s crazy to me.”

Diaz is dismissive of a potential prizefight with Danis because he doesn’t believe the outspoken Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist would show up. Danis has been known for causing a scene, whether it’s a street brawl with Anthony Taylor outside a press conference or being disqualified in a boxing match with Logan Paul or a brawl with Khamzat Chimaev’s team during a RAF match. Many believe things could get out of hand if Diaz vs. Danis is ever booked under any promotion.
