Bryce James is making his name on the road to college competition.

The youngest son of the Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is one of the familiar faces to look forward to in college basketball, as he was a significant contributor in Sierra Canyon’s California state title last March.

The 6-foot-6 forward is a three-star recruit out of Sierra Canyon, the same high school as his older brother, Bronny James Jr. He ranked as a three-star prospect in the 2025 recruiting class and was ranked 52nd shooting guard in the 247Sports rankings.

After considering three college offers from Duquesne, Ohio State, and USC, Bryce announced his commitment to the Arizona Wildcats in January. He signed in April with the program, marking his first major step in his career.

In recent reports, he opened up about the advice his father gave him regarding his first college stint in November 2025.

“Just working hard and coming in and doing what you do best,” James said via Eliav Gabay on X. “Making sure if you’re not having some good days, always have to stay positive. … miss a shot, maybe get a turnover or something, don’t hang your head down. Always keep your head up. Push through and stay positive.”

What’s next after college?

LeBron is probably waiting for his youngest son to be drafted before his retirement.

Some reports expect Bryce to be drafted in 2026 after his freshman year in Arizona. In speaking of his value, he got more size compared to Bronny and is known as the best shooter in the James family.

Despite adjustments and not knowing his role yet with the Wildcats, he was known for his talent and genetics that have the potential to surpass his father someday. Still, he will grow and mature more with the team, as he might also gain inches next summer.

The James family was ever full of support for Bryce and Bronny to make it to the highest basketball league, which made their family different from the others. If Bryce gets drafted next year, it will probably be one of the surreal moments in NBA history to witness a father and his two sons playing in the league.
