Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball is expected to appear in court later this month as a civil lawsuit stemming from an alleged incident outside Spectrum Center moves toward trial.
The lawsuit seeks $3.75 million in damages and claims that a child suffered a serious foot injury after being struck by Ball’s vehicle following a Hornets event in 2023.
Ball has denied the allegations and is contesting the claims made against him.
The case is scheduled to go before a jury during the week of June 15.
