Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards wants his team to improve their roster, according to ESPN NBA insider Brian Windhorst. Edwards has watched former teammate Karl-Anthony Towns go to the NBA Finals with the New York Knicks, and that has the Wolves superstar wondering about his own team.

"Going forward after this series, the Minnesota Timberwolves future is in question somewhat because of what Ant feels about the roster, and I wonder if KAT was still there, if he did," Windhorst said.

Edwards is signed through the 2028-29 season, with nearly $157 million left on his contract. The All-Star guard is extension-eligible this offseason, but likely will hold off at least a year to maximize the length and size of a potential extension. Edwards may also use that time to see if the Timberwolves can upgrade the roster enough to be title contenders.
