The Los Angeles Lakers could significantly increase ticket prices as their new ownership group looks to boost revenue and take greater control of the resale market.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the average Lakers ticket could rise from $217 to $361 within two years, representing an increase of roughly 66%.

The price changes are part of Joshua Kushner and Bob Iger’s broader plans after agreeing to purchase the franchise for a record $12.5 billion.

The new owners reportedly hope to increase the Lakers’ valuation to at least $30 billion within the next decade.

Demand remains extremely strong, with Crypto.com Arena operating at 99.8% capacity last season.

The Lakers could also follow the Dodgers’ approach by reducing the role of ticket brokers and gaining greater control over resale revenue.

Thrive Eternal, Kushner’s sports properties company, projects that higher ticket prices, media rights, sponsorships and international expansion could help the Lakers generate nearly $600 million in annual profit by 2037.

The franchise is projected to generate $681 million in revenue in 2026, while the ownership group believes annual revenue could eventually reach at least $1.6 billion by 2037.
