The New York Knicks have signed N’Faly Dante to an Exhibit 10 contract, the team announced Saturday, September 26.

Dante gives New York another option at center as the team continues to address its frontcourt depth following Mitchell Robinson’s departure to the Boston Celtics in free agency.

The 24-year-old center has appeared in only eight NBA games over the past two seasons, playing four games for the Houston Rockets in 2024-25 and four for the Atlanta Hawks in 2025-26. He has averaged 3.4 points and 3.5 rebounds in 8.3 minutes per game while shooting 64.7% from the field.

Dante had his most productive NBA stint with Houston, averaging 6.0 points and 5.3 rebounds in 12.8 minutes over four appearances. He shot 76.9% from the field and also recorded 1.3 blocks per game.

His opportunities were limited in Atlanta last season. Dante played 3.8 minutes per game across four appearances, averaging 0.8 points and 1.8 rebounds.

The former Oregon standout has shown considerably more production in the G League. In 42 games with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers during the 2024-25 season, Dante averaged 15.1 points, 9.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 2.2 blocks while shooting 74.3% from the field.

He also spent four games with the College Park Skyhawks in 2025-26, averaging 11.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 0.8 blocks in 16.2 minutes per game. Dante shot 95.7% from the field during that short stint.

The Knicks have been looking for additional center depth after Robinson signed a four-year, $47.4 million contract with Boston. Karl-Anthony Towns remains the team’s starting center, while New York has added Andre Drummond, James Wiseman and Drew Eubanks during the offseason.
