Whenever the Triple Crown Series heads to Gopher Dunes you can expect a few things to happen. First, you know the track is going to be rough and demanding. Second, with the race usually taking place in early July, the weather is almost always hot and humid. Finally, it seems that this round, more than any, produces a lot of drama. This year was no exception as multiple storylines came out of Round 4, including Jess Pettis not being able to race after a hard crash in qualifying, Dylan Wright running out of gas and crashing out of moto one while leading, Dylan Rempel winning his first ever Pro National, and Tanner Ward winning his first ever 450 class overall. It was a memorable day at Gopher Dunes and James Lissimore was there to capture it all for this week’s Behind the Lens.

Quinn Amyotte continues to impress everyone with his riding in the 450 class. At Gopher Dunes, he finished second overall.
The section after the big double was one of the roughest on the track.
Preston Kilroy used up a lot of energy in moto one and didn’t have much left for moto two.
Ryder McNabb rode very hard on Sunday and made up five points on Kilroy.
Despite finishing 6th overall on Sunday, Phil Nicoletti now has the points lead in the 450 class.
Dylan Rempel grabbed both holeshots in the 250 Pro/Am class.
Lars Van Berkel proved once again that he loves the sand.
The journey hasn’t always been easy for Tanner Ward, but now he is a 450 class overall winner!
Dylan Wright came very close at Round 4 to taking the points lead in the 450 class.
Josh Boaz raced Red Bud on Saturday and then Gopher Dunes on Sunday!
The Guaranteed Comfort Honda Team were all smiles at the 450 class podium.
As always, the GDR Honda bikes looked great for their home track race.
Even the Bob The Cooler girls managed to smile in the extreme heat at Gopher Dunes.
Wyatt Kerr used up a lot of energy in moto one as he charged from dead last to 6th.
The McNabb/Kilroy battle in the closing laps of moto one was the best of the day.
Ryder Malinoski rode great on Sunday and finished 5th overall in the 250 Pro/Am class.
Preston Masciangelo also raced Red Bud on Saturday and then drove back for Gopher Dunes on Sunday.
Ryder McNabb gets some important information halfway through moto one.
Tyler Medaglia was running inside the top ten in moto one before running into some bikes problems.
Kyle Murdoch loves the sand and he proved it at GD by finishing 7th overall in the 250 Pro/Am class.
The day began like any normal day for points leader Jess Pettis, but then, after a hard crash in qualifying, he was done for the day.
Sebastien Racine had his best round of the series so far finishing third overall in the 250 Pro/Am class
It was all about the champagne for 250 overall winner Dylan Rempel.
Dylan Walsh had another tough day at Round 4, but he did ride well to finish 6th in moto two
If Dylan Wright didn’t have bad luck, then he probably wouldn’t have any luck at all in 2025.
