Chase Sexton kept pace with Jett Lawrence and had moved up into second place, but a late-race crash dropped him to fourth, just ahead of Jorge Prado.
Among the Europeans, Benoit Paturel (12th), Matti Jorgensen (18th), and Cornelius Toendel (20th) all finished in the points. Antonio Cairoli had a strong start and was riding inside the top five when a mechanical issue forced him to retire from the race.
